João Cristovão
Born in Lisbon in 1960.
Degree in Design in IADE.
Worked for six years in advertising, where, together with other colleagues he started the group “Advertisers that Paint”. Together with his group, he participated in several group exhibitions in public spaces such as Cordoaria Nacional, Palácio Galveias, amongst others.
Later on Cristovão decides to abandon advertising and dedicate himself exclusively to painting.
In 1996 he attends a NY Art Student’s League, in New York.
In the 90’s he holds several solo exhibitions in Galeria Vértice, Lisbon.
In 2010 he shows his work again in Galeria Bernardo Marques, Lisbon, with an exhibition titles “wedding Dress”.
In 2011 he begins his connection with Galeria de São Mamede with the exhibition “Acompanhantes”.
