Nettie Burnett - Biographical Note 

 

 

 

Nettie Burnett studied sculpture at Wimbledon School of Art in London, and subsequently made ??a post-graduate course at Norwich School of Art and Design. 

 

Exposed the soil at various locations in England and France since 1985 Gave lessons in drawing and sculpture at University College Suffolk and was Invited Reader of the masters program at Goldsmith's College, London, Norwich School of Art and Design and the Visual Arts Program at University College Suffolk. Return to Portugal took drawing classes at the Arts School of Porto. 

 

From 2001 he exhibited individually in the Tree, Porto; at Teatro do Campo Alegre, Gallery Museum Nogueira da Silva, Braga; Gallery Santa Clara, Coimbra and several other locations. In 2012, exposes for the first time in Galeria São Mamede in Lisbon. 

 

Received awards including Bavaria Painting Prize (Revelation) in 2002 an Honorable Mention at the Biennale of Marinha Grande in 2001. 

 

Is represented in many public and private collections not only in Portugal but also in collections in Europe, Singapore, Australia and United States. 

 

Currently preparing an exhibition in New York.
